On Monday Nov 25, team Navigators were invited to the Manhattan’s Explorers Club to attend a lecture by National Geographic explorer Rachel Miller of the Rozalia Project. Rachel Miller has presented an excellent lecture on the topic of monitoring and tracking plastic pollution in the Hudson River, NY. Along with the rest of the Rozalia Project team for a clean ocean, Rachel Miller tracks and researches the effects of Microplastics, microfibers, and plastic pollution, in the waterways.

Rachel Miller was gracious to allow Team Navigators to present their Microplatics filtration system solution at the conclusion of her lecture. Team Navigators were able to present their project’s progress, and talk to people about the increase awareness and importance of cleaning the Microplastics in the rivers. Team Navigators is expecting to have a full working Microplastic filtration system prototype model by March of 2020.
